In July the TIPMIP-Team could show the TIPMIP Tier 1 ESM protocol that has been developed and agreed on by large parts of the international Earth system modelling community and several leaders of horizon funded EU projects. The diagnostic list is based on one used in OptimESM and TipESM and was reviewed by the TIPMIP domain leads and their groups.
The figure shows the protocol experiments for ESMs in TIPMIP phase one. There will be ramp-up and ramp-down experiments as well as zero-emmission run off experiments. For more information about TIPMIP and the experiments visit the TIPMIP website.
